The Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno has described the Executive Chairman of Etinan Local Government Area, Hon. Uko Umo as a dependable man.
The Governor said that for the period in which Hon. Uko Umoh has held sway by proving his mettle as the Executive chairman and also supporting the ARISE Agenda.

The Governor who was represented by his Political Adviser, Prince Godwin Ntuk Udeh, PhD during the commissioning of Model Primary School, Ikot Isong, Etinan Local Government Area, said he is committed to changing the course of educational landscape of the state.
Ntuk Udeh who said the Governor was outside the country to sell Akwa Ibom project to intending investors, called for more support for complete execution of the ARISE Agenda.
“The Governor is trying hard to bring development into the state. With your support, the Governor will continue to execute the full content of the ARISE AGENDA.

“Governor expects that with this model school, pupils who could not attend school can now attend.
“The greatest joy of the Governor is to see teachers dedicated to duties and the Chairman must join hands with Commissioner for Internal Security to ensure equipment here are protected.
“Uko Umo has proven that he is a dependable man by supporting the Governor with uniforms, and rebranded the teachers.”

Earlier in his welcome remark, Hon. Uko Umo, the Executive Chairman of Etinan Local Government commended the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno for commissioning Model Primary School at Ikot Isong as well as revamping Ibom Paint at Ikot Ekang.
The Chairman who described the Governor as a father, recalled the poor state of the model school before Governor’s intervention, adding that his administration will complement Governor’s effort by providing twenty thousand copies of exercise books to be shared across all schools in Etinan LGA and 250 pieces of uniform to pupils of the model school.

Uko Umo revealed that his administration will soon pay bursary to 500 students of higher institutions including medical and law students.
“Your Excellency, let me commend you for your consistent love and concern to the people of Etinan local government area.
“Few weeks ago you came to inaugurate Ibom Paint and today you are here to commission the Model Primary School. I am happy that this school, which I was a pupil many years ago, has become a cynosure for all.
“Your Excellency, let me pledge my unalloyed support and loyalty to your administration. Be rest assured that Etinan people will not let you down in service delivery and support for your political journey.”

The Commissioner for Education, Prof. Ubong Essien Umo presented the make up of the school which includes, a section for early childhood education, well-equipped classrooms with computer sets, well-furnished head teacher’s office, staff quarters and a sick bay.
In his remark, the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Uko Udom, SAN thanked the Governor for his magnanimity.
He assured the Governor of the people’s support and vowed that come 2027, Etinan people will empty all their votes for the Governor.

Also speaking, Isantim Kenneth Okon, described the Governor as the rising lion of Akwa Ibom state and Nigeria.
He assured the Governor of Etinan people’s support.
Present at the commissioning were members of the State Executive Council, APC leaders, stakeholders, and political class.
